I have a thing for butterflies and I just found out that my beautiful niece is having a baby! Yay! Although it’s too early to know if she’s having a boy or girl, I thought it might be fun to gather some ideas for a Butterfly Baby Shower… you know… just in case.
Thank you to Hiedi Swapp Minc for sponsoring today’s ideas!
Have you seen the Minc machine yet? All of these pretty little party supplies were black and white until I applied foil. And the best part, it took me all of 10 minutes to foil both the butterflies and the banner!
The butterfly cake is my favorite! I used simple glue dots to double the butterflies and add them to my cake plate. And I used floral wire on lollipop sticks to make the butterflies fly. So simple but darling (especially in person).
The foiling process is simple. Just insert designs (you can create your own), place them in the sleeve, select a heat and roll them through! Unlike other products the Minc has four rollers so there is an even foiling over the entire design.
With all the foil colors available and so many pretty designs, you could make everything from baby showers, to birthdays, to holidays. I’m thinking of making a red, white and silver party in foil for the 4th of July. The sparkle of the foil will make it beautiful.
